Group BTS's 2nd Japanese album "Youth" lands at No. 1 on Oricon Chart.
According to Oricon Chart, BTS's 2nd Japanese album "Youth" recorded a total of 44457 copies sold on the first day, topping Oricon Album Daily Chart.
Furthermore, regular and special editions of "YOUTH" reached No. 1 and 2 on Daily Sales ranking by Japan's biggest record store Tower Records. This proved that many Japanese fans are interested in BTS.
"Youth" is their second full album in a year and 9 months after releasing their first Japanese full album "Wake Up" in 2014 December. They were the first foreign hip hop artist to enter Oricon Single Weekly Chart with the Japanese version of their special album title track "FIRE" (HYYH Young Forever) which released last May and "For You". "I NEED U" (Japanese Ver) and "RUN - Japanese Ver" - both reached No. 1 on Oricon Single Daily Chart. Their "Youth" album contains their latest song "Wishing on a star" and other tracks, total of 13 songs.
BTS recently performed at Japan's biggest music festival "A Nation" with other famous Japanese artists like Da-ice, Koda Kumi, Hamasaki Ayumi and they are gaining popularity in Japan.
